It has a milling capacity of 2.5 million tons of sugar cane, producing more than 250 thousand tons of sugar per year for the local market and for export around the world. It has the capacity to produce 148 MW of electricity for the regional market. San Diego also operates in the real estate market.

With constant evolution, in 1987 it acquired Ingenio Trinidad, in Masagua Escuintla, strategically locating its industrial headquarters just 35 kilometers from Expogranel, the sugar shipping terminal in Puerto Quetzal.
